Kelly Berkley

RYT and breathwork instructor. Kelly’s initial interest in breathwork began with asthma and not being able to get a full inhalation. This caused some persistent, low-level anxiety. As a meditator, she focus on her breath which made her meditations frustrating. She began consuming as much information about breathwork as she could and began meeting with asthma experts from different breathwork methodologies such as Buteyko and Coordinated Breathing. They helped her asthma significantly. Along the way she discovered rhythmic circular breathing (aka conscious connected breathing) which has shown her how expansive the healing benefits of breathwork can be. It goes far beyond helping with asthma. The healing benefits are both physiological and psychological. Since 2016, she has spent time practicing and studying breathwork in Bali, Costa Rica, and the US. Eventually she decided to formalize her study and received her “Body of Breath” breathwork facilitator certification (conscious connected breathing) in-person in Nosara, Costa Rica in January 2022. She is currently involved in a virtual year-long mentorship and training program led by Ashley Ludman with a small intimate group of 4 other certified breathwork facilitators located all over the US and Costa Rica. She also received her pranayama certification in 2019 at Beloved Yoga in Reston, VA. She received her yoga teacher training certification through an immersive training program in Uvita, Costa Rica at Bienestar Yoga in 2021.
